about us

“Todd Bomb” was inspired by an old chimney I found in North Carolina while visiting my Grandma. We were traveling through the mountains when we came across an old chimney, the families who lived there had been gone for over 100 years. The structure of the once vibrant house had been burnt to the ground, the only sign that a home had ever been there was the 2-story brick chimney. It occurred to me that by adding few simple elements I could transform the space. I went back to Grandmas and asked her to sew up some eyes and cut out a smile that we could use to play with on the old chimney. We put the facial features on the old chimney and it made us all laugh. It occurred to me that anything could be transformed by adding a few simple elements, I could place them on anything that calls to me. The idea is that everything can become something else. The installations are left out in public to be discovered by everyday people going about their daily routines. I hope to disarm and elevate those who find my interventions and if only for a moment, make them smile.
